Time to Learn, Time to Teach
On Friday, February 2, 2007 the NSTU’s Time to Learn Time to Teach Forum was held at the Delta Halifax - an on-going step in our focus on the issue of teacher workload.

Workload Intensification - UPDATE
The response to the Metro Regional Council Memo requesting concerns about Workload Intensification has been overwhelming.

NSTU Provincial Executive Approves $225,000 to Address Workload Intensification
The Provincial Executive at its December meeting approved an expenditure of $225, 000 to address the issue of Workload Intensification. The NSTU Provincial Executive, Local Presidents and Regional Representative Council (RRC) Chairs will meet January 5, 2006 to begin planning local input for an educational forum that will take place in early February. The NSTU is also surveying school administrators throughout the province in an attempt to understand the broad range of activities, meetings, demands and initiatives that impact on student learning. In the Halifax region, Metro Regional Council is presently surveying its membership as it relates to workload intensification.
